Farmers are highly effected in the lockdown situation as their products are highly perishable. So MTF had taken front foot to buy the vegetables directly from the farmers in bulk and hired men for transportation which will help farmers to sell their product and earn some income. We purchased 60,000 kgs of Vegetables & 10,000 strips of Leafy Vegetables and distributed to 4000 families for 5 times who are in need. We packed the vegetables and door delivered them. And later on we revamped this program and organised 21 stalls at different areas and distributed vegetables to the people in need with the help of Grama Volunteers and continued distribution at stalls through the volunteers
